These terms apply to capypix.com and the tools on it. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

The service

Capypix offers free tools for converting, compressing and resizing images, removing image backgrounds, creating, merging and converting PDF files, converting and compressing video and audio, and converting JSON data to CSV or Excel. There is no account, no subscription and no charge. The tools run inside your web browser on your own device: files you choose are processed in the page and saved back to your device. They are not uploaded to us. How we handle analytics and advertising data is described in the privacy policy.

Acceptable use

You may use Capypix for personal and work purposes. You agree not to:

• process files you do not have the right to use, or use the tools to infringe copyright, trademarks or other people’s rights;
• use the tools to create forged, fraudulent or otherwise unlawful documents;
• interfere with the site, for example by attacking it, overloading it with automated requests or trying to bypass its security;
• copy the site and present it as your own service.

Your files

You keep all rights to the files you process. Because processing happens on your device, we never receive, see or store them, and we cannot recover them for you. You are responsible for your files and for how you use the results. Always keep your original files until you have checked the converted ones: conversion and compression re-save images, which can change quality and removes metadata such as camera details and GPS location.

No warranty

The tools are provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do our best to keep them accurate and working, but we do not guarantee that every file will convert, that results will meet a particular requirement (for example an official form’s size or format rules), or that the site will always be available. Check the results before relying on them.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or the tools, including loss of data, loss of quality, missed deadlines or rejected submissions. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under laws that cannot be excluded.

Open-source components

Capypix is built with open-source software, including libraries for HEIC decoding, for creating and reading PDF files, for video and audio, and an AI model for background removal. Those components remain under their own licenses, which are listed on the licenses page.

Ads and analytics

The site is kept free by showing ads from Google AdSense and uses Google Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how it is used. Ads and analytics never have access to your files. Details, including how to opt out of personalised ads, are in the privacy policy.

Changes

We may change, add or remove tools, or change these terms, at any time. When the terms change, the date at the top of this page is updated. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
